The next question that is asked a lot is what I should do with my home to get it ready for market? The easiest answer to that question is to remember two things when selling your home. First less is more and the second clean, clean, clean. Less is more means get rid of your clutter. You are moving pack all nonessentials away in boxes. Put those boxes in a storage room. Also having less clutter will also make your home look larger. This could also mean less furniture. If you are downsizing it might be a good time for a garage sale before you put your home on the market.
Another avenue some Realtors go for is the Professional Stager. This is an interior designer for Realtors. They will go through your home and show you the best way to arrange it before you go on the market. If you have already moved out of your home before it goes on the market a good stager will have furniture to place in the home to make it look more appealing. For some buyers it is hard to vision what their furniture might look like or even fit in the home if they do not already have a visual in the home to compare.
